Carve Your Own Wooden Coffee Scoop ☕️
April 10 | 6–9 PM
The Bee’s Knees General Store – Lawrencetown, Annapolis Valley
Join Woods(wo)man Woodworking for a cozy, hands-on evening where you’ll carve your very own wooden coffee scoop from basswood—a functional piece designed to elevate your daily coffee ritual.
This beginner-friendly workshop will guide you step-by-step through shaping and carving your scoop, with a focus on both form and function.
So what makes a coffee scoop different from a regular wooden spoon?
It’s all in the details. Coffee scoops are designed with a deeper, rounded bowl to easily gather beans or grounds, a comfortable finger grip for everyday use, and a balanced shape that feels natural in your hand. You’ll also add a faux leather hanging strap, making it easy to keep your scoop within reach in your kitchen or coffee nook.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn safe carving techniques, how to work with wood grain, and how small design choices can transform a simple object into something both beautiful and practical.
🌲 What’s included:
- All tools and materials
- Prepped basswood blank
- Step-by-step instruction
👥 Who it’s for:
Open to anyone aged 16 and up. No prior carving experience needed—just bring your curiosity (and maybe your love of coffee).
Spend an evening creating something by hand, connecting with others, and leaving with a piece you’ll reach for every day.
